Contest limited to standard single family residential installations only.

All decisions of the judges will be final.

“Oldest” qualification must be based on condensing unit, not furnace, evaporator coil, heat pump, geothermal unit, or any other part of an air conditioning and heating system.

Home must be wholly owned by entrant.

Residence may not used solely a place of business.

Entrant may not be or represent a business or non-profit organization in the entry of the “I want a bail out” Giveaway.
This is not a game of chance. The winning contestant shall be determined to be the “oldest” by one of the following:

Condensing unit must not be modified. Unit must be in original condition.

Original invoice or other factual documentation attesting to the installation date of the condensing unit.

Date code from the condensing unit serial number as verified by the manufacturer.

In the event of a tie, the earliest contest entrant shall be the winner.
To claim the award the homeowner/occupant must do the following:

Provide access to system and any supporting paperwork for age verification.

Allow “before & after” photos of the customer and condensing unit to be taken asdeemed suitable by the contractor.

Sign a “photo release” authorizing Aardvark A/C & Heating to use photographs for promotional purposes. Photo session must be allowed within two weeks of notification. Prize will be awarded as part of the photo session.
Prize is limited to a parts and labor installation of a single residential American Standard high efficiency system replacement value of up to $40,000. Value change dramatically based on size. Actual value will be presented at time of installation for tax reporting purposes. High efficiency is defined by its ability to achieve an ARI approved, system minimum of 15 SEER and 12.5 EER. Residential is defined as a standard 5 ton or less split air conditioning system located in the primary residence of a homeowner. Temporary, mobile, or manufactured residences do not qualify as they are built and designed differently to take advantage of their mobile ability. Additional costs such as, but not limited to, permits and code required improvements are not included in contest prize. Aardvark A/C & Heating does not guarantee Federal Income Tax Credit. The United States government does not endorse Aardvark A/C & Heating or the “I want a bailout” giveaway. Federal Income Tax Credits are regulated and administered by the United State Internal Revenue Service. The Federal Energy Efficiency Tax Credit Program is subject to change by the United States Government. Current information on the Federal Energy Efficiency Tax Credit Program and its application can be reached from the United States Department of Energy (www.energy.gov).
No purchase necessary. A purchase will not improve your chance of winning. Entry must be received by 5/31/09. Winner will be selected on or about 6/08/09 by Aardvark A/C & Heating Inc. (AAC), Houston, TX. AAC decisions on all aspects of the contest are final. Entrants agree to be bound by contest rules. Winner will be notified by mail and may be required to sign a Prize and Publicity Release within 10 days of receipt unless prohibited by law. Failure to comply when requested may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner. No responsibility is assumed for lost, late, stolen or misdirected mail. Entries void if incomplete, not legible or if they contain errors. All submissions become the property of AAC. Employees of AAC, their affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies and suppliers, and their immediate families, are not eligible. Prize of equal or greater value may not be substituted. Acceptance of prize implies consent to use name and photograph in promotional material without compensation. Any taxes and other expenses are the responsibility of winner. Allow 4–6 weeks after selection of winner for receipt of prize. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local regulations apply. The name of the grand prize winner will be published in a future issue of this newsletter.
